- Kill them and solve an easy puzzle with turning pillars. Place them so they both show a fish (and pull the lever) to open a room with the very useful Ahzidal's Armor of Retribution. Hide it in your equipment, return to the pillars and turn them both to eagles. That way you will unlock a passage to the further part of the dungeon.
- In the chamber containing Ahzidal's Armor of Retribution there is a dual-function rune totem puzzle. The first sequence, required to open the portcullis to allow you to retrieve the armour, is found.
Ahzidal is a dragon priest entombed within Kolbjorn Barrow in Solstheim. He carries an eponymous mask.
He specializes in fire-based magic, able to cast: Greater Ward, Ebonyflesh, Revenant, Raise Zombie, Flame Cloak, and Fire Stream, a unique spell similar to the Fire Breath shout. His heavy armor set includes Ahzidal's Armor of Retribution, Ahzidal's Boots of Waterwalking, Ahzidal's Gauntlets of Warding, Ahzidal's Helm of Vision, and his mask.
